The Post Dental Core Training Fellowship gives individuals, who have already completed Dental Core Training, the opportunity to continue training. It offers the opportunity to broaden knowledge and experience within the dental profession in preparation for specialty training, general practice or other branches of dentistry.
These 12 month posts include a range of specialties including OMFS, Oral Surgery and PDS.

NES is now responsible for issuing Certificate of Sponsorships (COS) to Dental Trainees (Dental Core and Speciality Training Registrar Trainees only) in Scotland who require Skilled Worker sponsorship.

Any claims for expenses incurred in travelling to a Selection Centre should be made to the region that assessed you, not the DCTNRO. There is a £100 cap on all expense claims. Applicants attending interviews are entitled to travel and subsistence allowance at appropriate rates in accordance with Terms and Conditions for Hospital Medical and Dental Staff and AL (MD) 4/98. Those travelling to interviews must use the most cost effective means possible.
As per NES T&S policy when staying overnight in a hotel, guesthouse or the commercial accommodation, the overnight costs will be reimbursed as follows:
Important: You are only eligible to claim for expenses if you are a current employee of an NHS Trust or NHS Board. No other applicants, for example Dental Foundation/Vocational Trainees, are allowed to claim.
