Be part of the NES Annual Conference 2026

Following the success of previous events, NES will host our next annual conference in April 2026.

The theme of the 2026 Conference is Collaborate. Innovate. Transform: Delivering change towards improving health, social care and other public services in Scotland.

When: Thursday 23 and Friday 24 April 2026

Where: online

Audience: health and social care staff with an interest in:

education and training
workforce development
digital solutions

Cost: free

Get involved

We’re now inviting abstract submissions for 1-hour seminars, open papers or posters. This is a great opportunity to showcase your work, share insights and connect with colleagues across sectors.

Seminar abstracts

Submissions are welcome from:

NHS boards
integration authorities
voluntary organisations
partner organisations
public sector
private sector

We are looking for a broad range of topics aligned with the conference theme. Seminars should be of interest to a multi professional audience or targeted to a specific audience including:

dental education
healthcare science
medical education
nursing, midwifery and allied health professionals
pharmacy education
psychology
social care
social work

The closing date for seminar abstract submissions forms is Sunday 14 December 2025.

Open paper or poster abstracts

We invite submissions in the following categories:

careers - structure and support
interprofessional education
miscellaneous
new perspectives and novel methods in education and training
online learning
simulation
training delivery

The closing date for open paper and poster abstract submissions forms is Sunday 1 February 2026.
