Coronavirus Care Home testing materials
Resources to enable care home visitors to test for COVID-19 using a Lateral Flow Device (LFD) resources are live on our Turas Learn platform.
This suite of resources have been developed to support care home staff to obtain a COVID-19 diagnostic test using a Lateral Flow Device test kit.
The resources include a guidance document, poster, competency assessment framework, slideset and a visitor information leaflet. A video demonstrating the correct techniques to perform and the test and read the results will be available shortly (tomorrow hopefully). The guidance also advises how staff report the result of the test.
The resources are also hosted on the Scottish Government website where care home staff can also access them and the Scottish Government Guidance documents.
Staff will require to register for a Turas account to access the resources as they sit within a completable page on Turas and must have accessed and completed each resource before they can generate a completion certificate.
