Celebrating Excellence in Rural Healthcare: introducing our first GMC-recognised credential holder
The National Centre for Remote and Rural Health and Care is marking a major milestone with the launch of the GMC-approved Credential in Rural and Remote Health (Unscheduled and Urgent Care) - developed in collaboration with NES.
This new credential recognises the advanced skills and dedication required to deliver urgent care in some of the UK’s most isolated communities. Among the first recipients is Dr. Alistair Innes, whose outstanding work in rural urgent care sets a high standard for clinical excellence and patient impact.
Dr. Innes’s achievement highlights the importance of specialised training and recognition for healthcare professionals working in remote settings, where access and equity are critical. Read more https://learn.nes.nhs.scot/82560
🎉 Over the coming weeks, we’ll be celebrating each of our Recognition Champions on social media—sharing their stories and the vital contributions they make to rural and remote healthcare across the UK.
