Where to find databases on the Knowledge Network

The Knowledge Network gives access to a range of different resources, but one of the most used are the bibliographic databases.

These are topic focussed collections of articles, book chapters, conference proceedings and other types of text which can be searched in a structured way. They are great for in depth searching!

There is a new databases search facility on the Knowledge Network, allowing users to find and access databases from our Library Search pages.

Users can:

  • Search for a database by name - if users know what they are wanting to use then there is a search facility or an A – Z function
  • Search using a category option – for users who are unsure what databases would suit their search needs then choosing a relevant category will display the most relevant resources for their search
  • Browse all the databases to see what may be of interest

Access to some resources require an NHSScotland OpenAthens account.
