Remote Consulting support for health and social care providers

Remote consulting is an effective and convenient way for people to engage with health and social care services safely and securely by accessing the support they need without meeting face-to-face.

Instead they are able to stay in the comfort of their own home using simple technology to access a service, for example over the phone, via video link or online. This provides greater access to health and care services and offers more choice and flexibility.

The Remote Consulting learning site on Turas Learn is designed to help health and social care providers feel confident and supported while using this technology. This includes resources on:

• telephone consulting skills
• getting started using Near Me
• what is asynchronous consulting

The site and resources are continuously refreshed and updated in line with new developments in this area.
