NES, in partnership with the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland have developed an eLearning module to meet the learning needs of the health, social work and social care workforce in Scotland. It is for anyone who works in these areas with people aged 16 years or over.

The module is broken down into nine interactive sections which include video, podcasts and knowledge checks as well as links to further resources. It takes around one hour to complete. The eLearning module is part of a suite of resources available on the Once for Scotland - Adults with Incapacity Turas learning site.

You will need Turas account to view and access the AWI eLearning module. If you do not have an account, please use the link below to:

Vicki Price, Senior Educator, AWI Project, NES NMAHP said:

“This eLearning module is the latest addition to the Once for Scotland -Adults with Incapacity Turas learning site. It will provide a baseline level of knowledge and understanding to meet the needs of a diverse workforce in relation to the legislation, which is all about protecting the rights of people who may lack capacity to make some or all decisions in relation to welfare or finances.”

Please do not hesitate to contact the team nes.adults.awi@nhs.scot if you have any questions or want more information.
