KIND by name kind by nature
The KIND Learning Network is an inclusive and supportive community of practice aimed at staff across Scotland’s health, social care, and housing workforce who are interested in developing their knowledge, information, and data skills.
The network welcomes people of all interests and experience levels with the goal of bringing KIND workers together to strengthen skills and better serve the people of Scotland. The network focuses on:
- Training and Development: Offering a range of free courses to develop professional skills in areas like Excel and Power BI.
- Social Learning: Providing a space for community meetups, mentoring schemes, and collaborative events.
- Support and Advocacy: Working with national stakeholders to champion training and learning activities.
Over the past few years, the network has grown to over 4,000 members — by design, that makes for a broad and diverse audience. The strength of the network lies in bringing together people with different backgrounds and perspectives. Today, members come from more than 130 public and private organisations across health, housing, social care, and the wider public sector, sharing experiences and ideas to learn from one another.
Here’s what some of the KIND network members say:
“I really enjoy the social learning space. We all have something to bring to the table.”
“I’m here for self-learning, ask loads of questions and try and join in as much as possible!”
“I love the connections and the training.”
“The KIND network provides an inclusive call centre that allows us to connect with others in similar positions.”
