Academy for Healthcare Science

Professor Chris Hopkins is an internationally recognised healthcare science leader, who is President of the Academy for Healthcare Science, Clinical Director at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and Head of the TriTech Institute.  A Consultant Clinical Scientist, he leads translational research and innovation in cardiovascular, cancer and respiratory disease, artificial intelligence, and digital health to improve patient outcomes and population health. He provides national leadership for healthcare science through the Academy, advises on UK health technology and AI policy and regulation through the MHRA, and is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, Academy for Healthcare Science, Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine, and the Institute of Biomedical Science.
