Information access requests to NHS Education for Scotland

You have the right to request access to information held by any Scottish public authority, including NES, under three separate regimes:

  • The Data Protection Legislation for personal information about you as an individual.
  • The Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 for information relating to the environment.
  • The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for all other information.

Arrangements for permission to re-use NES documents are covered by the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations.

To make a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 or Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, please contact nes.foi@nhs.scot.

For requests relating to personal information held about you as an individual, please contact nes.InformationAssurance@nhs.scot.

A range of information is available already online through this website. NES has adopted the Model Publication Scheme and further advice on finding published NES information can be found in the NES Guide to information (see below).

Under the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011, NES has a Records Management Plan [DOC] approved by the Keeper of the Records of Scotland. A Progress Update Report [PDF] was reviewed by the PRSA Assessment Team in August 2022.
