Preventing Infections in Ambulance Setting

This resource provides essential information for the application of the Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs) for Ambulance Service staff.

The Preventing Infection in Ambulance setting was specifically developed to allow Ambulance staff working in vehicles to access the resource via a tablet devise. The resource presents as an interactive pdf and allows staff to choose information when presented with common infection risks and reveals the "must do" SICP guidance that should be followed to minimise the risk of spreading infection to themselves, other staff and the person receiving care.  It also highlights key advice on factors "to consider" as part of the SICPs and identifies other factors that keep staff and those being cared for safe.
