Pathway - Intermediate layer

pathway intermediate layer

The principles in this layer relate to the application of knowledge into practice and motivation of staff. It is this layer that provides further learning for staff (including existing Cleanliness Champions), the building blocks for them to progress and enhance their knowledge and skills and champion good practice locally and nationally as they join or continue in the pathway.

The intermediate layer provides resources to:

  • Enhance 'clinical’ or ‘practical’ skills
  • Reinforce decision making and clinical reasoning
  • Develop interpersonal skills and leadership skills
