NHS Education for Scotland (NES) undertook and initial scoping exercise in 2009 to identify educational resources available for and the gaps highlighted by the AHP Children and Young People's work force.

An educational framework (The Children's Chapter) has been developed to provide direction and support and structure in educational prioritisation and identification for the AHP CYP work force. The framework identifies the domains that AHPs working in CYP services practice within.

In addition work is being progressed collaboratively with HEI to develop educational resources to support specialist services priorities.

The CYP AHP Network has met on 2 occasions and provides an opportunity to focus on educational priorities identified by the AHP CYP work force and share best practice.

Other work to support the AHP Workforce includes the launch of the "Children and Young People's AHP Network" providing the opportunity to focus on educational opportunities and requirements and share best practice.
