NES CAMHS Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Certificate level Training in CBT for Children and Young People:

This training offers CAMHS clinicians the opportunity to undertake a year-long certificate training in CBT for children and young people, training them to deliver low intensity CBT for anxiety and depression under clinician supervision. This training is provided through the University of Edinburgh. Prospective students will be required to be a CAMHS clinician working within a clinical setting, where CBT supervision is available.

CAMHS clinicians are in the process of being selected by Health Boards who provide NES with the nomination of these individuals to commence their studies in September 2018. Their studies are scheduled to be completed by August 2019.

If you are interested in this programme and keen to discuss the possibility of any future NES funded opportunities, please contact Dr Joy Nisbet, Clinical CBT Tutor joy.nisbet@nes.scot.nhs.uk.
