Core Psychological Interventions for Psychosis

Psychosocial Interventions for Psychosis

NHS Education for Scotland supports a network of local trainers to provide the ‘Psychosocial Interventions for Psychosis’ training across Scotland. This training has been developed for mental health staff who have a keyworker role and work with people who have experience of psychosis. It consists of a digital e-learning module followed by 2-day interactive workshops. The training resources are recovery focused and map onto the UCL CORE Competency Frameworks for severe and enduring mental health problems and focus on developing the ‘therapeutic stance, values and assumptions’ competencies for psychosis. The training aims to introduce the psychosocial approach to psychosis and empower staff to engage in collaborative alliances that encapsulate optimism, recovery and hope with people who have experienced psychosis. Contact your local Psychological Therapy Training Co-ordinator for further information on local training.
