Advanced Nursing Practice

Advanced Nurse Practitioners

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) has been commissioned by the Scottish Government Chief Nursing Officer Directorate to allocate funding to prepare an additional 500 Advanced Nurse Practitioners over 4 years between 2017 and 2021.

ANP Leads in the NHS Boards and Independent Organisations have completed an Educational Needs Analysis to identify their organisation's requirements for 2018/19 and are now in the process of requesting funding from NES for ANP modules commencing between 1st April 2018 and 31st March 2019. This funding supports nurses to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Practice for whom an ADDITIONAL ANP post has been identified by their employer.
