Work-Based Learning
The term ‘work-based learning’ covers a very wide range of learning activity
It can include very different opportunities, from formally-structured education programmes which allow individuals to apply what has been learned within a work situation to informal learning in which the learner develops knowledge and skills by carrying out their day-to-day activities.
Making the most of work-based learning involves making a number of informed choices. NES is currently developing its range of resources to help individuals, managers and planners in NHSScotland make the most appropriate decisions for the use of work-based learning in their own context.
