Updated Unscheduled Care Formulary

The Unscheduled Care Formulary, originally produced as a printed booklet in 2009, has been updated to take account of current best practice, particularly in relation to antibiotic prescribing, and to ensure that the products listed reflect value for money.

It is now available for download either as an electronic document or a printable booklet from the SAPG website:

Inviting you to a study afternoon on common skin conditions endorsed by NHS Education for Scotland.

The afternoon will incorporate both presentations and workshops offering practical advice on management of common dermatology conditions. Additionally, we will also introduce a new resource available to all health care workers. The sessions will be facilitated by dermatology nurse specialists.

PPCI Conference 2012: The Beardmore Hotel and Conference Centre, Friday 8th June 2012

The third annual PPCI Conference is aimed at health care professionals who deliver emergency care of heart attack patients including staff from the Scottish Ambulance Service, nurses, clinicians and managers. 

This conference will provide all delegates with information on how emergency heart attack care is provided at a regional level in Scotland, in the UK and abroad.

Your Dermatology Pocket Guide: Common Skin Conditions Explained

This booklet can be used by any clinician who wishes to develop their knowledge of common skin conditions. It has been specifically written for nurse practitioners, specialist nurses, physicians or any other clinicians who undertake structured histories using advanced decision-making skills. It will aid in diagnosis - recognising differential diagnosis, formulating prescriptions and assisting in identifying referral pathways if necessary.
