Initiative: Information Handling in Practice
Information Handling in Practice is an intermediate level e-learning module to support NHSScotland staff in this important part of their work. The assessed module is designed to assist clinicians, managers, administrators and others responsible for handling personal and sensitive information as a major part of their role. Using a series of short learning scenarios the one-hour module includes practical illustrations of Data Protection Act 1998 principles, guidance on good practice and sources of advice and further information.

Good communication and effective, caring relationsips are essential in a person-centred healthcare service.
This interactive resource, hosted on NES's Managed Knowledge Network, raises awareness for practitioners of the need to recognise and report situations where there might be a need for child protection.
Initiative: Palliative Care in Practice
This site aims to support healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge and understanding of Palliative and End of Life Care. It contains two related resources 'The Advance and Anticipatory Care Planning Toolkit' and 'Principles of Palliative and End of Life Care Work Based Learning' Resource.

The short module provides simple information about basic principles of data protection, guidance on good practice and sources of advice and further information.
