Reviewing

The first step for you in seeking to continually improve your communication and relationships capability, is to get some kind of objective indication of how well you are currently doing.

There are a number of advantages to experiencing such a review including:

  • Helping to identify your strengths and areas for development, allowing you to access more focused support or plan specific action.
  • Providing a benchmark for measuring improvement.
  • Enabling more specific, objective and individualised feedback to be generated which is directly relevant to you.

With a bit of thought and planning it is relatively easy to carry out self-review, or for someone else to review your conversations with patients using a feedback or observation tool.
