Women, Children and Young People's Programme Board

The NES Women, Children and Young People's Programme Board was established in 2007 to ensure a coordinated approach to the Education for Women, Children and Young People's Health and cross-sector workforces.

To achieve this purpose, the remit of the Programme Board is to:

  • Provide strategic direction to Women, Children and Young People's Health programmes
  • Support the successful delivery of related NES educational projects
  • Promote the sharing of good practice in relation to the successful delivery of NES education
  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure NES Women, Children and Young People's Health programmes meet all relevant policy directions and articulate with the wider cross-sector agenda.
  • Ensure a robust internal and external communication strategy is in place for NES Women, Children and Young People's Health Programmes.

The Programme Board meets three times a year and all Directorates within NES are represented.
