 How to Book

Please note that the only way to book onto this training is via the Portal.

STEP 1 - Registering interest on the Portal

The first time you book a place on a course via The Portal you will need to complete a personal profile. The personal profile will enable you to book and keep track of the courses you attend. Once you have created a personal profile on The Portal you will be able to select your course. You will only have to create a personal profile once.

To set up a Portal account:

a) Go to www.portal.scot.nhs.uk.

b) Click on the SIGN UP button to create your account.

c) Complete all fields (mobile number is optional).

d) Choose a password.

e) Click the CREATE ACCOUNT button.

f) An email will be sent to you, asking you to verify your account by clicking on a link.

To register interest on a course:

a) Click the Face to Face Training menu button on the left hand menu.

b) Search using key words or course topic - 'Psychological Interventions'

c) Click on the relevant course you wish to attend.

d) Click the ADD TO BASKET button.

e) Click on VIEW BASKET.

f) Click COMPLETE BOOKINGS.

g) These training events are free of charge so please click NO for the question "Are you making a payment from a health board account?" and then click YES to agree to the terms and conditions.

***Please note that all courses subject to application approval will have 'Application Pending' status - please continue to book as normal***

 

STEP 2 – QuestBack Application

When the relevant course shows on your Portal Profile under 'Applications Pending', please click 'Complete Application'. This will take you to a questionnaire that we need you to complete in order to consider your application for the course. Without a completed questionnaire your application will be declined.

 

STEP 3 - Being allocated a place

Please note that places will not be allocated until the application deadline is reached, so there will be a delay in hearing the outcome of your application. Once we have allocated the places on each course, your Portal booking status will change to 'Booked' or 'Application Declined' - we will also email you to notify you whether you have been allocated a place.
