NES CAMHS Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Certificate level Training in CBT for Children and Young People:


This training offers CAMHS clinicians the opportunity to undertake a year-long certificate training in CBT for children and young people, training them to deliver low intensity CBT for anxiety and depression under clinician supervision. This training is provided through the University of Edinburgh.

The first cohort of CAMHS clinicians were selected by Health Boards in September 2015 and NES have completed recruitment of a second cohort, who commenced training in September 2016.

There is currently no further NES funded recruitment to this programme.

 

Diploma level Training in CBT for Children and Young People:


This training offers CAMHS clinicians the opportunity to develop their practice beyond certificate level training in CBT for children and young people to enable them to provide high intensity CBT interventions to children and young people who may present with a range of difficulties. This training is provided through the University of Edinburgh. There is a current cohort of CAMHS clinicians who commenced this training in April 2016.

There is currently no further NES funded recruitment to this programme.
