Leadership - Taking the Pharmacy Vision Forward 12 June 2012
Are you a senior member of the pharmacy team who is responsible for leading a team and/or developing services?
This 6 day course is based on reflection and exploration of yourself as a leader within pharmacy practice. Based on the Adair leadership model you will be expected to 'try out' some of the leadership theory in your practice throughout the course.You will be expected to report back on your experiences (in the form of a round table discussion) and on day 6 you will be expected to 'present' your experiences of a larger project that you will have undertaken whilst attending the course.
Target audience: Senior pharmacy staff responsible for leading a team/development of services.
When you book, you are booking to attend all 6 days.
Times: 09:45am until 4pm.
Venue: Hanover Buildings, Rose Street, Edinburgh.
A sandwich lunch is provided. Please inform of any dietary requirements.
Places are limited for this course so book early to avoid disappointment.
Some topics covered through the course include: development of teams, effective chairing of meetings, communication, conflict, negotiation, decision making and problem solving and change management.
On completion of this course you will be signposted to further multidisciplinary courses as appropriate and to enrol for the Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Leadership and Management.
We run peer sessions after the course to encourage continual development of your skills.
