The Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) is the method of ensuring that doctors in training make satisfactory progress through their training by having a panel examine reports, portfolio evidence of training and by interviewing a percentage of trainees. This policy suite includes appropriate paperwork for preparing for the ARCP and the roles of the trainee, trainer and lay representatives.
