Applying for General Practice Training
The National Recruitment Office (NRO) co-ordinates recruitment to general practice training schemes throughout Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. If you wish to apply only for General Practice, the NRO Website has all the documentation and guidance you require.
You do not apply for General Practice Training Programmes through the Scottish Medical Training website. However, if you wish to apply to other specialties in Scotland, in addition to General Practice, then you must do so via the Scottish Medical Training website.

2012 Recruitment Key Dates - ROUND 2
Stage 1 - Application
Application to 2012 GP Specialty Training opened 9am on Monday
19 March 2012 and closed at
midnight on Wednesday 4 April 2012.
Stage 2 - Computer Based Test
Stage 2 Assessment was held on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 April
2012 across UK.
Stage 3 - GP Selection Centre
Stage 3 Selection Centre will run on 16 and 17
May 2012 at the Edinburgh Airport Hilton Hotel, EH28 8LL.
Stage 4 - Offers
Offers will be released from 22 May 2012.
