The West of Scotland Deanery oversees training in Ayrshire & Arran, Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Forth Valley, Dumfries & Galloway and Lanarkshire.
The West Deanery covers a wide geographical area and includes the Health Boards of Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Ayrshire and Arran, Dumfries and Galloway, Forth Valley and Lanarkshire, with a total population of 2.55 million. Within that area, the West Deanery is responsible for the management and provision of education and training to healthcare professionals. The West Region is based at Central Quay, not far from Glasgow City Centre.
