Dental Foundation Training
Opportunities exist across Scotland for further postgraduate training in second year Dental Foundation training. Most two-year Dental Foundation Programme Training posts in Scotland have a Salaried Dental Service component, and external evaluation has indicated that the SDS is considered to be a very valuable training experience. The Record of Progress and Achievement will be completed. There are variations on the format of FP in each of the regions.
Specialty Training
In an exciting development the paediatric specialists within the SDS in Scotland contribute on an outreach basis to specialty registrar training in paediatric dentistry.
Continuing Professional Development courses
We deliver a variety of Continuing Professional Development opportunities for the dental team enabling them to keep up to date and deliver quality patient care
