About Dentistry
NES dental has a central office and six regional offices
The regional offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness co-ordinate vocational/foundation training, CPD and DCP Education for their regions. They are led by the Directors of Postgraduate General Dental Practice Education. Each centre is able to give tailored advice to members of the dental team.
The central office of the dental directorate co-ordinates the work of the regional centres to ensure a consistent national approach. In addition, it is responsible for specialty training, governance and undergraduate issues which include the distribution of ACT funding to the NHS Boards.
