AHP PEL Programme of Work

The AHP PEL priorities for 2011 - 2012

The programme activity for 2011-2012 will fall under 4 workstreams from which there will be core objectives. The 4 work streams are:

1. AHP PEL Programme Management and AHP Practice Education Lead Development

2. Advancing pre-registration AHP practice-based education

3. Embed and sustain existing NES educational solutions

4. Supporting AHP PELs to nationally share and coordinate local NHS Board Practice-based Education Priorities.

NES AHP Continuous Improvement Model

Utilising the NES AHP continuous improvement model the AHP PEL Programme will support the development of high quality practice based education through:

  • scoping what is already there
  • sharing educational solutions or working collaboratively to develop new solutions
  • embedding NES resources within practice
  • developing exit strategies to ensure that educational solutions are sustained
    continually seeking to improve through ongoing evaluation of impact and quality
