Dr Farquhar qualified at the University of Edinburgh in 1979 and
subsequently trained in Edinburgh and Melbourne, Australia. He has
been a consultant since 1990. He has a major interest in
postgraduate training and education. He has previously been a
Postgraduate Tutor and a Foundation Programme Director. He has been
involved in teaching and examining in both the UK and abroad. He
has responsibility for all Medical Specialities and Medical
Paediatrics for the Deanery
